For life's sake TURN OFF THAT LIGHT
Our community is losing something precious - the stars. Many nights, they are no longer visible above our towns and villages.
Our community is losing something precious - the stars. Many nights, they are no longer visible above our towns and villages.

Every unnecessary light left on, every unshielded floodlight, and every harsh blue white bulb contributes to light pollution. This affects human health, confuses wildlife, wastes electricity, and brightens our skies to the point where many people can no longer see the stars above them.
Better lighting means better living: switch lights off when they’re not needed, prevent light from spilling into neighbouring properties, use warm-white bulbs (below 3000K), and make sure outdoor lights point downwards where the light is actually needed.
Small changes at home can make a big difference for your community, nature, and the environment.
Good lighting protects the night. Bad lighting pollutes it.

At the Campaign for Dark Skies Network, our mission is to raise awareness about the impacts of light pollution. We are dedicated to educating the public on how artificial light at night can affect human health and the environment.
